Ahmed ElTantawy is a highly experienced professional in computer architecture and GPU technology, currently serving as a Principal Member Of Technical Staff at AMD since March 2021, focusing on the architecture of future MI GPU products for machine learning and high-performance computing workloads. Previously, Ahmed held multiple roles at Huawei from April 2017 to February 2021, leading the development of a mobile GPU compiler and expanding the team to over 15 engineers. Ahmed earned a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from The University of British Columbia in 2017, following a Master of Science in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering from Cairo University. Ahmed possesses extensive teaching and research experience from various academic institutions, contributing to significant projects in computer architecture and serving as a teaching assistant for university-level courses.
