Ashwin Venkatram

Ashwin Venkatram is an experienced software development engineer currently working at AMD since June 2023. Previously, Ashwin served as a Graduate Student Research Assistant at Catalyst Lab Carnegie Mellon University, focusing on compiler systems for deep learning optimization. Ashwin has held several engineering roles, including a Senior Software Engineer Intern at SambaNova Systems, where high-performance kernels for scientific applications were developed, and a Research and Development Engineer at Rohde & Schwarz, contributing to hardware and software projects. Earlier experience includes a software developer internship at Panasonic R&D Center Singapore, and leadership as a Section Commander in the Singapore Armed Forces. Ashwin holds a Master of Science in Electrical & Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University and graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Engineering from Singapore University of Technology and Design. Additional academic experience includes a summer session in Computer Science at Stanford University.
