Roger Steines possesses extensive experience in engineering and technical support, currently serving as a Field Application Engineer (FAE) at AMD since October 2013, providing support for strategic Xilinx accounts in Georgia. As the Owner and Lead Engineer of Syntropy LLC since January 2011, Roger has delivered design services to various clients in the Atlanta area, including notable companies such as Flight Displays and The Weather Channel. Prior to this, Roger held positions as a Senior Research Engineer at GTRI/ELSYS, managing electronic warfare system projects for the US military, and worked as an FAE at NuHorizons, along with engineering roles focused on FPGA and ASIC design at Georgia Tech Research Institute, Vistascape Security Systems, and Elastic Networks. Roger holds both a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
