Tharaka Perera

Tharaka Perera is a Senior Silicon Design Engineer at AMD since July 2022, bringing extensive experience in silicon design and verification. Prior to this role, Tharaka held various positions at Monash University from September 2018 to August 2022, including PhD Candidate, Doctoral Researcher, and Teaching Associate, where teaching responsibilities encompassed courses in computer science and engineering. Additionally, Tharaka worked as a Research and Development Engineer at Synopsys Inc. from April 2017 to August 2018, focusing on AMBA verification IP products and providing technical expertise in various programming languages and verification methodologies. Earlier experience includes a Research Assistant role at the Asian Institute of Technology, developing advanced IP cores for video processing on FPGA.
