Mary Mickens Sphr

Mary Mickens, SPHR, SHRM-SCP has over 30 years of experience in human resources. Mary currently serves as the Director of Human Resources at Advanced Orthopedics and Sports Medicine Institute. Prior to this, Mary held various senior HR positions, including Director of Human Resources at Aspire Technology Partners, Principal Human Resources Business Partner at Medtronic, and Director of Human Resources and Recruitment at Altran North America- Engineering/Energy Services. Mary has also worked as a Senior Human Resources Business Partner at Genzyme Genetics, a Human Resources Manager at Hess Refinery / Hess Corporation, an HR Director/Manager at Franklin Electronic Publishers, and a Director of Human Resources at CheckFree Investment Services. Mary began their career as the Director of Human Resources at HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital. Throughout their career, Mary has developed and implemented human resources strategies, provided leadership in areas such as talent management and employee relations, and overseen HR initiatives and programs.

Mary Mickens, SPHR, SHRM-SCP, holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from Lebanon Valley College. Mary also obtained a Masters degree in Human Resources from Fairleigh Dickinson University. In addition to their degrees, Mary has acquired certifications including the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR®) Certification from the HR Certification Institute (HRCI) in 2006 and the SHRM-SCP certification from the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) in 2015.
