Donald Rogers Jr. has a diverse work experience in the field of addiction recovery and advocacy. Donald is currently the Community Outreach Director at Advanced Recovery Systems, LLC since February 2020. Previously, they held roles such as Advocacy Leader at the National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence, where they supported programs and funding for education, prevention, treatment, and recovery. Donald also served as an Addiction Recovery Specialist and Primary Residential Therapist at Seabrook Rehab from 2014 to 2020. Additionally, Donald worked as an Outpatient Counselor at Atlantic Prevention Resources, Inc., where they facilitated group therapy sessions and provided education on relapse prevention. Donald gained experience as an Intern and Volunteer Worker at the Atlantic County Dept. of Public Safety and as a Counselor Intern at the John Brooks Recovery Center, where they received training in intake assessments, harm reduction, and case management. Earlier in their career, Donald worked as an Assistant Manager, Athletic Coordinator, and Youth Alliance Coach at Spontaneous Sports, where they scheduled and coordinated venues, organized events, and coached youth in athletic activities.

Donald Rogers Jr. has a diverse education history. In 2006, they attended Rider University and studied Business Management for one year. In 2010-2011, Donald enrolled in the Addictions Professionals Certification Program at Stockton University. Donald continued their education at Atlantic Cape Community College from 2014-2015, obtaining an Associate in Applied Science in Technical Studies. Currently, Donald is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Applied Science and Technology in Technical Studies at Thomas Edison State University, starting in 2016. Additionally, in November 2013, they obtained the Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor certification.
