Advanced Robotics at the University of Washington (ARUW) is a student-run competitive robotics team. Engineering and business students come together to build nine robots to compete in the RoboMaster competition, held annually in Shenzhen, China.

ARUW provides its student members with hands-on experience in robotics development, engineering management, and business. Through ARUW, student members learn to use professional grade tools and work in a small team to design, build, and test integrated robotic systems. Student leads learn about engineering and business management, gaining insight into all aspects of the project as a whole including project management, budget management, and recruitment.

The Engineering Team at Advanced Robotics at the University of Washington (ARUW) is responsible for the design, development, and integration of the robotic systems used in the RoboMaster competition. This includes building the mechanical structures, developing software for control and automation, implementing computer vision algorithms, and testing the robots for performance and reliability. The team collaborates closely to ensure all components work seamlessly together, providing hands-on experience in cutting-edge robotics engineering.
