James Hefti

James Hefti leads a team of Human Resources professionals who deliver an exceptional employee experience for ATS’ people around the globe. His team is responsible for attracting, developing and retaining the best and brightest talent that aligns with the ATS cultural commitments to enhance the customer experience and drive business growth.

Mr. Hefti has continuously implemented a roadmap of change to support ATS’ business objective as well as the management of recruiting, talent management, legal, compensation and benefits, organizational development, employee relations and internal communications.

Before being named Vice President of Human Resources at ATS in 2005, Mr. Hefti’s tenure included over 25 years of experience in Human Resources strategic planning and execution with extensive expertise in operations management. Mr. Hefti was the Director of Corporate Human Resources for Associated Materials, Inc., a $1.1 billion manufacturer and distributor of exterior building materials headquartered in Akron, Ohio. Mr. Hefti also served in Operations with Sterling, Inc. of Akron, Ohio, the largest retail jewelry chain in the U.S., operating as Kay Jewelers, JB Robinson Jewelers and others.

He is a graduate of Malone University and served for six years as a United States Marine. Mr. Hefti currently serves as the Vice-Chair and Philanthropy Chair of the Red Cross of Central Illinois Board of Directors. He also serves as Co-Chair of the Central Illinois Red Cross Heartland Heroes Event and is a board member for the Peoria Riverfront Museum.
