Douglas Freel

Douglas Freel has extensive experience in the energy sector, currently serving as Chairman of the Board for Clean Resource Innovation Network (CRIN) and holding positions as Director, Audit Chair, and Treasurer. Freel also acts as Special Advisor at Blue Rock Law and has been Chairman of Advanced Upstream Ltd. since September 2018. Previously, Freel held directorial roles at Citadel Drilling Ltd. and STEP Energy Services, where Douglas serves as Chairman. Notably, Freel was Managing Director at ARC Financial Corp, a private equity firm specializing in energy investments, from March 1998 to December 2022. Early in their career, Freel worked as an Engineer at Schlumberger. Freel's educational background includes an MBA from the University of Toronto - Rotman School of Management and a B.Sc in Electrical Engineering from Queen's University.
