Parker Sloan

Parker Sloan is an experienced professional in government affairs and community development, currently serving as the Director of Government Affairs at Advantage Capital since November 2024 and as a Buncombe County Commissioner since December 2020. Prior to these roles, Parker held positions at Cypress Creek Renewables, starting as Senior Community & Economic Development Manager and advancing to Director of Community & Economic Development from January 2017 to November 2024, after a stint as a Business Development Associate at FLS Energy. Earlier in the career, Parker was engaged with Pisgah Legal Services as a Medical Legal Partnership Liaison and served as a Planner for Henderson County from May 2007 to May 2014. Educational qualifications include a B.S. in Geography and a B.S. in Community & Regional Planning from Appalachian State University, and a Master of Public Administration with a focus in Public Policy Analysis from Western Carolina University.
