Greet Gemels

Greet Gemels is the current CFO & COO at Advantage Group. Prior to this, they were with Advantage Group International from December 2018 to November 2020, where they served as Chief Financial Officer. In this role, they were responsible for the Finance, Human Resources and Operations functions.

During their time at Advantage Group International, they initiated and was awarded a $1,200,000 OMDC tax credit, directly offsetting operational expenses. Greet was also instrumental in the set-up of foreign subsidiaries in Europe and the United States. In addition, they led and executed a restructuring that resulted in $2.8 million of annualized cost savings.

Gemels built the finance function at Advantage Group International, implemented formal budgeting, forecasting and reporting systems to measure and communicate performance results internally and to the board of directors. Greet also implemented a sales reporting discipline and rolled out salesforce.com. In addition, they structured and negotiated strategic partnerships, including an 8 million operating lease and lease lines.

Greet implemented analytics and metric-based forecasting tools to enable fact based decision making in real-time. Greet also developed a high performance finance & administration team to strengthen controls and to drive profitability and growth. As Acting Secretary of the Board/Corporation, they created common financial metrics for all programs that led to improved accountability for operations.

Greet Gemels holds a Master of Business Administration from Athabasca University, a Post Baccalaureate in Management from Athabasca University, and a Certification from the University of Toronto. Greet also has an Operations Management certificate from Cornell University.

They work with Dwight Konings - SVP, Global Retail, Anthony Guadagnolo - Chief Commercial Strategy Officer, and Leandro Bonder - SVP, Global Client Development. Their manager is John McLoughlin, Chief Executive Officer.
