William Metcalfe

William Metcalfe has worked in various roles since 1992. William began their career at AT&T as the Director of New Business Development. In 1995, they became the Founder and Director of New Ventures at Lucent Technologies, where they co-founded the internal venture capital organization and created 28 companies with $350M of external funding. In 1998, they founded N-Light Technologies and successfully sold it after negotiating a $5M seed round from and strategic relationship with EMC. William also founded Lucent Holographic Data Storage Technologies and Siros Technologies, where they were the VP of Business Development, Strategy & Intellectual Property. In 2000, they joined OnFiber Communications as the Senior VP of Corporate Development, part of the founding team that created and sold the business for $60M/year. In 2014, they founded ModPods and in 2017, they founded INSPYRE, introducing the country’s premier professionally-focused school for the cannabis industry. William currently serves as the Senior VP of Corporate Development at Advantage Integrated Solutions.

William Metcalfe received a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Virginia in 1985, and a Master of Business Administration in Entrepreneurship/Entrepreneurial Studies from Harvard Business School in 1990.
