Sam Smith

Sam Smith is an experienced CAD Technician and drafter with a diverse background in architectural, mechanical, and electrical drafting. Since December 2012, Sam has worked at Nor-Lake as a 2D/3D CAD Technician, focusing on creating custom commercial walk-in freezer and cooler submittals. Concurrently, Sam has served as a Freelance Architectural/Mechanical/Electrical Drafter for Advantage Point Group, Inc. since June 2011, providing support to the 3M Corporation. With roles at Advantage Point Group as a Detail Drafter and Heartland Drafting LLC as an AutoCAD Drafter/Operations Manager, Sam has demonstrated proficiency in creating detailed documentation and managing projects. Previous experience includes positions at American Structural Metals, Weather Shield Windows and Doors, and Klein McCarthy Architects, encompassing project management and drafting for various construction projects. Sam holds multiple degrees and certificates in architectural design and structural steel detailing from Northwood Technical College and other institutions.
