Indira Joshi

Indira Joshi has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Indira is currently the VP of the SSD Test Division at Advantest since July 2021. Prior to their current role, they worked at Micron Technology from March 2019 to July 2021 as the Head of Technical Marketing for Micron Emerging Memory Solutions, focusing on emerging memory products like 3DXP and next generation storage class memory technologies.

Before joining Micron, they held a position at Samsung Semiconductor, Inc. from September 2013 to December 2017 as the Director of Datacenter Storage & Memory Architecture. In this role, they led the storage system architecture group, researching and delivering innovative storage solution reference designs based on Samsung's flash devices. Indira also played a key role in developing the Mission Peak storage platform, featuring Samsung NGSFF devices.

Earlier in their career, Indira worked at Intel in various capacities. From November 2009 to September 2013, they served as the Power Management Architecture Manager, leading a team focused on power management innovation within the PC Client group. Indira also worked as a Project Manager in MPG from September 2008 to January 2010, overseeing the LPD project's objectives and deliverables. Additionally, they worked as an Engineering Manager in CPU design from 2003 to 2008, where they managed a design team and collaborated with CPU Architects on features and design tradeoffs.

Indira started their career as a Component Design Engineer at Intel, working on Pentium 4 design from 1995 to 2002. Prior to that, they worked as a Component Design Engineer on Pentium Pro at Intel from August 1993 to 1994. Indira also briefly worked as an Engineer at Schlumberger in 1992.

Overall, Indira Joshi has gained extensive expertise in technical marketing, storage system architecture, power management, and CPU design throughout their career in the semiconductor industry.

Indira Joshi has a diverse education history. In 1985, they obtained a Bachelor's degree (BE) in Electronics Engineering from the University of Mumbai. Following this, from 1990 to 1992, they pursued a Master of Science degree (M.S.) in Computer Engineering at The University of Texas at Austin. Most recently, in 2015, they completed the Engineering Leadership Professional Program at UC Berkeley College of Engineering, specializing in Innovation, Management, and Business Development.
