Shimon Biswas

Shimon Biswas has a diverse work experience in the field of cyber security and IT infrastructure.

Shimon is currently working for Advantest as the Director and Global Head of Cyber Security, a role they have held since April 2023. Prior to this, they were a Manager of Cyber Security at Advantest from July 2022 to July 2023.

From 2018 to 2022, Shimon was an Assistant Manager of Cyber Security at Mitsubishi HC Inc. During their time there, they managed various responsibilities related to cyber security.

Before that, they worked at MetLife as the DLP Team Lead, IT Risk & Security from August 2017 to September 2018. In this role, they managed DLP systems and other security solutions, as well as led a team and handled log analysis and reporting.

Shimon also has experience working at PwC as a Senior Associate of PwC Cyber Services from May 2016 to July 2017. Their responsibilities included penetration testing, configuration analysis, and assessments of network devices.

Prior to PwC, they worked at Rakuten as an IT Infra Operations Engineer, where they handled server operations, middleware configuration, operation automation, and project management from March 2013 to April 2016.

Shimon's earliest work experience was at Intersoft KK, where they served as an IT Infra Operations Engineer. During their time there, they worked on infrastructure transition, middleware configuration, VPN tunnel connectivity, and daily infrastructure operations.

Overall, Shimon Biswas has extensive experience in cyber security, IT infrastructure, and management roles.

Shimon Biswas obtained a B.Sc and M.Sc in Computer Science and Engineering from Kushtia University during the years 1998-2003. Shimon also holds additional certifications in RHCE, CCNA, and JLPT2.
