Sean Damaso

Sean Damaso, MBA has extensive work experience in finance and accounting. Sean is currently serving as the VP of Finance at Advarra, a position they started in October 2022. Prior to this role, they worked as the Senior Director of Financial Planning & Analysis at Advarra from February 2021 to October 2022.

Before joining Advarra, Sean held various leadership positions in the financial planning and analysis departments of Alfresco and Digital Guardian. At Alfresco, they served as the Director of Financial Planning and Analysis from December 2018 to January 2021. At Digital Guardian, they held the same role from August 2017 to November 2018. Additionally, they worked as a Senior Financial Analyst at Digital Guardian from August 2016 to August 2017.

Earlier in their career, Sean gained experience in accounting roles. Sean worked as a Revenue Accountant at Imprivata from March 2016 to August 2016. Prior to that, they served as a Senior Accountant at Digital Guardian from December 2014 to March 2016, at Interleukin Genetics from September 2013 to November 2014, and at The High-Line Group Inc. from April 2012 to September 2013.

Sean's career in accounting began as a Staff Accountant at Group 1 Automotive from June 2010 to April 2012. Prior to that, they worked as a Staff Accountant at The High-Line Group Inc. from June 2007 to June 2010.

In addition to their professional experience, Sean is also a member of Beta Gamma Sigma, an international business honor society for AACSB-accredited schools since May 2019.

Sean Damaso holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Finance from the University of Massachusetts Lowell, which they completed from 2015 to 2019. Prior to their MBA, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from the same university, studying from 2002 to 2007. In addition to their formal education, they have also obtained certifications in IT security foundations, GDPR compliance, and avoiding phishing scams from LinkedIn in 2019.
