Alex Bryan

Alex Bryan, D.Min., serves as chief mission officer. In this role, he leads and supports a systemwide mission team in promoting and integrating the organization’s mission of “living God’s love by inspiring health, wholeness and hope.” Alex joined Adventist Health in 2018 as the mission identity and spiritual care executive. In that role, he led Adventist Health’s strategy around alignment to mission, spiritual care, church and faith community relations and theological and ethical foundations of mission.

Alex’s formal education incudes undergraduate studies at Southern College, with majors in history and religion, a Master of Divinity degree from Andrews University, and a doctoral degree in missiology and leadership from George Fox University.
