Heather Candy has over 20 years of experience in the field of labor and employment law. Heather has held various leadership positions, including Vice President, Chief Risk & Litigation Officer, Associate General Counsel, and Vice President, Chief Counsel at Adventist Health. In these roles, they were responsible for managing all aspects of risk management, claims management, and labor and employment matters for the organization, which included 30,000+ employees across multiple states. Prior to their time at Adventist Health, Heather worked as the Deputy General Counsel at VSP, where they had legal responsibility for labor and employment matters. Heather also gained experience as a Senior Associate at Palmer Kazanjian Wohl Hodson LLP, representing employers in labor and employment matters. Earlier in their career, they worked as an Associate Attorney at Hardy Erich Brown & Wilson, handling a variety of labor and employment issues. Heather's experience also includes working as a Legislative Intern at the Judicial Council of California and as a Law Clerk at the Department of Fair Employment and Housing.
Heather Candy earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in English Language and Literature with a minor in Political Science from San Francisco State University from 1992 to 1995. Heather then pursued a Doctor of Law (J.D.) degree at the University of the Pacific - McGeorge School of Law from 1996 to 1999.
