Luis Mariscal M.D.

Luis Mariscal MD, MBA, DABR has an extensive work experience in the field of radiation oncology. Luis started their career at Scripps Health as a Resident Physician, where they completed their internship from July 2009 to June 2010. Luis then joined Kaiser Permanente, initially as a Resident Physician in the Department of Radiation Oncology from July 2010 to June 2013, and later as the Chief Resident Physician from July 2013 to June 2014. In 2014, they transitioned to Adventist Health Bakersfield as a Radiation Oncologist and eventually became the Medical Director of the AIS Cancer Center. In their role, they demonstrated strong leadership skills and expertise in oncology, radiation safety, and cancer research. During their tenure at Adventist Health Bakersfield, they also served as the Assistant Chief of Staff from March 2018 to December 2020, and later as the Chief of Staff from January 2021 to December 2022.

Luis Mariscal completed their medical education at UC Irvine from 2004 to 2009, where they obtained an MD degree in Medicine. Additionally, they pursued an MBA degree in Health Care Management and Marketing from the University of California, Irvine - The Paul Merage School of Business between 2007 and 2009. Prior to that, from 1996 to 2002, they attended UC San Diego and earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biochemistry and Cell Biology, as well as a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Ethnic Studies. In 2015, Luis Mariscal obtained certification as a Diplomate from the American Board of Radiology.
