Darlene Steil

Darlene Steil has a diverse and extensive work experience in the healthcare industry. Their most recent position was as the Director of Revenue Integrity and System Audits at Adventist HealthCare, which started in December 2023. Prior to that, they worked at The GW Medical Faculty Associates as the Senior Director of Project Management and later as the Director of Revenue Cycle Process Improvement, from February 2020 to September 2023. Before that, they were the Vice President of Regional Operations, Mid-Atlantic at Advantia Health from July 2019 to January 2020. Darlene also worked at Huron as a Healthcare Manager in Medical Group Performance Improvement from June 2018 to June 2019.

Earlier in their career, Darlene held various senior roles, including Assistant Vice President of Patient Services Management at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital from August 2010 to November 2017, and Regional Program Manager of National Revenue Cycle at Kaiser Permanente from January 2008 to August 2010. Darlene was also the Senior Director of Revenue Services at Dignity Health from December 2002 to January 2008.

Additionally, Darlene gained valuable experience as an Experienced Manager at KPMG, where they focused on healthcare consulting and managed care operations, from 1997 to 2002. Darlene also had a brief role in Managed Care Operations at Pacific Health Solutions in 1997. Their earliest work experience was as a Budget Examiner at the Office of Management and Budget, specializing in healthcare information management, from 1990 to 1993.

Darlene Steil holds an MBA degree in Management, Economics & Finance from the UCLA Anderson School of Management. Darlene also obtained an MPP degree in Government and Finance from the Harvard Kennedy School. Their undergraduate studies were in Economics, earning an AB degree from Smith College. In addition to their academic achievements, Darlene Steil has obtained several certifications, including Certified Specialist in Physician Practice Management (CSPPM) from the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA), Certified Revenue Cycle Representative Program (CRCR) from HFMA, and Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute.
