Janel Timoney Brown

Janel Timoney Brown serves as the Director of Joint DOD Account Executive and Director of Microsoft Federal Consulting Services at Microsoft since April 2021, focusing on applying enterprise technology to address business challenges. In addition, Janel is a founding board member and President of the Greater Tampa Bay Chapter of Women In Defense, contributing to the organization's growth since October 2015. Previous roles include Director of DOD Account Executive and Director of Special Operations & International Defense Solutions at Maxar Technologies, along with leadership positions at Radiant Solutions and DigitalGlobe in special operations and geospatial services. Janel's early career includes service as a Naval Officer in the US Navy, culminating in retirement from the Naval Reserve. Janel holds a Bachelor of Science from the United States Naval Academy, an MBA from the University of Hawai‘i, and additional qualifications in government affairs and professional development.
