Jason Mcinerney

Jason Mcinerney is the CTO at Adverttu and has an extensive background in data science and technology. Jason founded Sema in January 2017 and led the company to launch by building the core product and leading the team. In the first year of live final product, they generated over $1mm in revenue and more than double that in funding. Jason embraced and ensured future product development by searching, hiring, and leading a machine learning / deep learning research group with additional emphasis on coding skills and applied/production-ready modeling for automated ML/AI based code analytics, developer coaching, development process analysis, and automated source code maintenance.

In September 2017, Jason became a Data Science Mentor / Instructor at Thinkful / Chegg, where they provided one-on-one training of data scientists in the latest techniques from statistics through deep learning.

In January 2020, Jason joined Biggie Billboards as their Chief Technology Officer. There they created key IP for several technologies related to graphics on three-dimensional curved surfaces in motion, leveraging data science and machine learning. Jason also built the core team and architecture, and launched two separate retail products from scratch in less than a year.

Jason Mcinerney has a Doctor of Philosophy from Iowa State University in Machine Learning, a M.Sci. from UC San Diego in Computational Neuroscience and Multi-scale Biology, and a B. Sci. from University of North Texas in Biology and Biochemistry. Jason also has certification from Coursera in Convolutional Neural Networks, Deep Learning Specialization, Improving Deep Neural Networks: Hyperparameter tuning, Regularization and Optimization, Neural Networks and Deep Learning, Sequence Models, and Structuring Machine Learning Projects.

Jason Mcinerney reports to Artjom Jekimtsev, Founder & CEO. They are on a team with Behzad Saeedi - Head of Product, Maria Julia Sperle - Operations & Marketing Executive, and Katie Mcintyre - Head, Client Services.
