Daniel Wiener has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and positions. Daniel is currently serving as a Co-founder and Strategic Advisor at The Independent Vanguard Adviser. Previously, they were a Fund for BRIC Investment Committee Member at BRIC (Arts & Media in Brooklyn). In 1994, Wiener founded and served as the Chairman and former CEO of an SEC-registered financial advisory firm. Before that, they were the Founder, Editor, and Co-Editor of The Independent Adviser for Vanguard Investors, a monthly newsletter focusing on Vanguard mutual funds. Wiener also served on the board of the Bedford Stuyvesant YMCA and was an Associate Editor at U.S. News and Fortune Magazine. Earlier in their career, they worked as an Editor at Inform, where they conducted research on energy and the environment.
Daniel Wiener attended Staples High School from 1970 to 1973. Daniel then went on to study at Tufts University from 1973 to 1977, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, General.
