Thomas Sherwood

Vice President, Investments at Advisors Asset Management

Thomas Sherwood has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Thomas started their career as an Account Executive at M. L. Stern and Co in 1984. Thomas then worked as a Financial Analyst at the Municipal Advisory Council of Texas from 1984 to 1986, where they compiled municipal data and prepared reports. Thomas joined McDonald Investments in 1986 and held the position of Associate Vice President, specializing in fixed-income portfolio management and corporate 401(k) plans. Thomas developed a significant book of business, managing $60 million in assets, and stayed with the company until 2002. From 2002 to 2003, they worked as a Branch Manager at Financial Network Investment Corporation. And finally, since 2005, they have been serving as the Vice President of Investments at Advisors Asset Management, Inc.

Thomas Sherwood attended Clear Lake High School from 1973 to 1977. Thomas then pursued undergraduate studies at The University of Texas at Austin from 1977 to 1978 before transferring to San Jacinto College, where they continued their undergraduate studies from 1978 to 1980. Thomas Sherwood obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Marketing from the University of North Texas from 1980 to 1983.
