Bill Santulli

Chief Operating Officer at Advocate Health

Bill’s accountabilities include a $13B operating budget, all hospital, ambulatory, post-acute, and home health operations.

A leader within Advocate Health Care for 20 years with more than 30 years of health care experience, he has served in key leadership positions with multiple health systems.

Bill was the chief executive at Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital, a position he held from 2001 to 2003. He came to Advocate from the New England Medical Center (NEMC), Boston, where he served as the Chief Operating Officer of the Academic Medical Center.

Prior to NEMC, Bill served in key leadership roles with Iowa Health System in Des Moines, UniHealth America in Los Angeles, and Good Samaritan Hospital in Puyallup, Washington.

In 2018 he served as a Chair of the Illinois Hospital Association. In addition, he has served on several other civic and health-related boards and currently serves on the American College of Healthcare Executives board.

He has a master’s degree in health care administration from the University of Minnesota, a master’s degree in sociology/health services research from the University of Florida and a bachelor’s degree in sociology from the University of Notre Dame.
