Bobbie Byrne

Chief Information Officer at Advocate Health

Bobbie is responsible for all information technology applications, information security, infrastructure, clinical informatics, data warehousing and business intelligence across the system.

She joined Advocate Health Care in 2017. Previously, she served as the Chief Medical Officer of Edward Elmhurst Health, a three-hospital system in the western suburbs of Chicago, where she was responsible for quality and safety throughout the system, clinical research, information technology and patient experience.

Bobbie has also served as Senior Vice President and General Manager of Clinical Solutions for Eclipsys Corporation (now Allscripts), an enterprise software development company, and as Senior Manager in the healthcare consulting division Cap Gemini, Ernst & Young.

She completed her bachelor’s degree in history at Northwestern University, medical school at Northwestern University and pediatrics residency at Children’s Memorial Medical Center in Chicago. She entered practice as part of an academic faculty practice plan at Northwestern Memorial Hospital and as part of Evanston Northwestern Healthcare (now NorthShore University HealthSystem). She received her master’s degree from Kellogg Graduate School of Management.
