Sue Pickett has a diverse work experience in the field of behavioral health and research. Sue began their career as an Assistant Professor at the University of Illinois at Chicago, Department of Psychiatry in 1995 and later became an Associate Professor. In 2011, they joined the Illinois Department of Human Services, Division of Mental Health as an Associate Director for Systems Transformation and Strategic Planning. In 2012, they joined Advocates for Human Potential, Inc. as a Senior Scientist for Behavioral Health and later became the Deputy Director of Research & Evaluation in 2015. Sue'sexperience ranges from academia, government work, and research organizations.
Sue Pickett began their education by completing a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology at North Park University from 1980 to 1983. Sue then pursued further education at the University of Chicago from 1985 to 1990 and obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Human Development and Psychology. Following this, Sue attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison as a Post-doctoral Fellow from 1991 to 1993, specializing in Mental Health Service Systems Research Training Program.
