The Leon Levine Foundation
Lindsay Messinger currently serves as the Director of Research and Evaluation at The Leon Levine Foundation since December 2023. Lindsay has extensive experience in academia and research, including the role of Adjunct Professor at UNC Charlotte since January 2016, where courses in developmental psychology, statistics, research methods, and program evaluation are taught. Previous positions include Director of Research, Evaluation, and Analytics at Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools (September 2013 - December 2023) and Associate Director of Research at the NYC Department of Education (December 2011 - August 2013). Lindsay's career also includes roles as Project Director at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and Research Associate at both Mount Sinai St. Luke's and NYU Child Study Center. Lindsay holds a PhD and a Master’s degree in Applied Developmental Psychology from Fordham University and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from New York University.
