Niels de Vries

Niels de Vries is an accomplished engineering lead at Adyen, with experience in leading teams focused on enhancing payment experiences on mobile devices and payment terminals globally. Niels has held various roles at Adyen, including development team lead and POS product manager, successfully managing talented teams, defining technical targets, and expanding payment capabilities across different countries. Prior to Adyen, Niels led a team of certification experts at UL Solutions and served as a lead test analyst in the Transaction Security division, gaining international experience in multiple countries. Niels began a career as a payment consultant at Collis B.V., contributing to projects throughout the Netherlands and in Dubai. Niels holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Hogeschool Leiden, earned in 2009.
