Tony Williamson

Tony has over 30 years’ experience as a geologist in the mineral exploration sector in Australia, PNG and SE Asia. He co-discovered and brought into production the Co-O mine in the Philippines now held by Medusa Mining, co-discovered the (+3MOz Au) Miwah deposit in Indonesia, and added more than 1 million JORC compliant gold ounces to the Toka Tindung mine also in Indonesia. Tony has an additional 9 years in the public sector including 4 years as Director of Mining – PNG, a position which focused on the conversion of the Department to a Statutory Authority, and growth of their multibillion-dollar industry by assisting to develop a globally competitive investment framework, including the removal of additional profits tax. The role also included an alternate-directorship of Ok Tedi Mining Limited. Tony has often been requested for corporate advice and corporate strategies to junior explorers.
