LQ McDonald III has a diverse work experience spanning different industries. LQ began their career at Blackthorne Capital Management as a Product Manager and Project Manager, where they served for five years. Following this, they worked at Advicent Solutions as a Project Manager, responsible for managing project execution and mitigating risks. LQ then joined MSP International Services Corporation as a Project Manager for a year and later moved to Modern Mojo, where they founded the company and authored books. Currently, LQ McDonald III is at AE Business Solutions, where they have held various roles including Director of Data Intelligence and Project Management, Manager of Professional Services & Head of Business Intelligence and Analytics, Project Manager Team Lead, and Project Manager.

LQ McDonald III has a diverse education history. LQ obtained a Master's degree in Computer Software Engineering from Penn State University between 2013 and 2015. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Management Computer Systems from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater from 2009 to 2011. In 2007 to 2008, LQ McDonald III studied World Religions at Naropa University, and in 2005 to 2007, they pursued General Studies at UW-Waukesha.
