Ken Wai

Global Design Principal at Aedas

Ken joined Aedas in 2003 and is now a Global Design Principal. He has over 25 years of experience and has been involved in the design of various iconic buildings around the world. Ken defines architectural design as a continuous search for equilibrium between sense and sensibility – sense in terms of good judgment based on practical ideas or understanding; and sensibility being good aesthetic judgment.

In every project he designs, he seeks to firstly understand the design objectives and personally involves in both the design and execution stage in order to strike for the perfect balance between achieving those objectives, functionality and design excellence. His working approach and design methodology has always been appreciated by the high demanded Clients.

Ken is now stationed in Shanghai looking after business operation of the Shanghai office. Being one of the design leaders in Aedas, Ken directs the designs of a wide spectrum of architectural projects on both national and global scales. His specialisation lies in holistic mixed-use developments, major infrastructure facilities, high end office towers, luxurious hotels as well as bespoke private residences.

Over the years he has produced numerous well acclaimed designs which earned him various awards and honours.
