Josh Magden

Josh Magden has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and companies. Josh currently holds the position of President & CEO at Seaview Insurance Company since January 2020. Prior to that, they served as the Chief Operating Officer at Aegis Security Insurance Company starting from August 2020.

In 2016, Josh became the Managing Member of Videlicet Partners, LLC, a consulting effort based in Austin, Texas, specializing in due diligence and analysis on specialty insurance opportunities. Josh focuses on building strategic partnerships among MGA, carrier, and reinsurance platforms, with a particular emphasis on casualty and indemnity insurance in Texas and the southwest.

From 2018 to 2022, they held the role of Chief Operating Officer at American Sentinel Insurance Company. Before that, they served as a Member of the Board of Directors at the Texas Captive Insurance Association from 2014 to 2018.

Prior to their ventures in the insurance industry, Josh worked at Sage Advisory Services, Ltd. Co. as the Vice President of Consultant Relations from 2011 to 2015. Josh started their career as the First Vice President at George K. Baum & Company, where they worked from 2003 to 2011.

Josh Magden holds a BA in Economics & Spanish from Grinnell College. Josh also has an MBA-IM with a focus on International Policy & Development from Thunderbird School of Global Management. Additionally, they have obtained certifications including Series 63, Series 65, and Series 7 from FINRA/NASAA and FINRA.
