Patrick M. Cannon

Pat Cannon is Sector President and General Manager of The AEgis Technologies Group headquartered in Huntsville, AL. In this capacity, Pat provides executive direction and leadership of AEgis’ 365+ employees and its subsidiary business units and operations spanning locations throughout the United States. AEgis’ mission is to Lead the Transformation to Modern Warfare by providing world class technology development in the Missile Defense, Directed Energy, Space Superiority, and Augmented / Virtual Reality markets.

Prior to his promotion to President, Mr. Cannon spent the past 20 years establishing AEgis’ presence in Albuquerque, NM and Colorado Springs, CO. Under his leadership as Director and later Vice President, the Distributed Operations Group grew from nothing to $25M in annual revenue with over 80 employees. His Group’s focus is on Directed Energy, Test and Evaluation, Missile Defense, Space Superiority, and Process Control Automation with customers across the United States. That customer base includes the Departments of Defense, Homeland Security, and Energy. For the past five years, Mr. Cannon has also served a member of AEgis Board of Directors.

Prior to joining AEgis, Mr. Cannon spent 21 years in the Army as a combat engineering officer and operations research analyst retiring in 1999 to come to AEgis. He graduated from Texas A&M University in 1978 with a B.S. in Industrial Technology and completed his M.S. in Operations Research at the Georgia Institute of Technology in 1985. He was a licensed Professional Engineer in the States of New Mexico and Virginia for over 30 years and is a Certified Modeling and Simulation Professional.

Pat is actively involved as a leader in several professional society organizations previously serving on the Board of Directors for the International Test and Evaluation Association (ITEA) and currently serving as Co-Chair of the Joint Conference on T&E Support to Prototyping and Experimentation sponsored by ITEA and the Directed Energy Professional Society (DEPS). He was Past President of the Roadrunner Chapter of ITEA in Albuquerque and Chair of several Groups in the Military Operations Research Society (MORS) and the Simulation Interoperability Standards Organization (SISO). Mr. Cannon and his wife Donna have two married children; their daughter is a neonatologist and their son is an aerospace engineer. They also have three grandchildren.
