Derek Thoms

Derek Thoms has a diverse work history. Derek began their career as a Commodity Trader at ADM in 2002 and worked there until 2007. From 2007 to 2010, they served as the Director of Development at the University of Northern Iowa. Thoms then joined ESP International, where they held various roles including Strategic Account Manager, Manager of Procurement, and Inside Sales Manager from 2010 to 2013. Since 2013, Thoms has been associated with Aegon Asset Management, starting as a High Yield Trader, then moving up to become a High Yield Portfolio Manager in 2015. Currently, Thoms is the Head of US Trading at Aegon Asset Management.

Derek Thoms attended the University of Northern Iowa from 1998 to 2002, where they earned a degree in Economics with a focus on Business Analysis.
