Iain Barton

Iain Barton has a diverse work experience spanning over 20 years. Iain began their career as a Trainee Solicitor at Shepherd and Wedderburn in 2002. Iain then worked as a Solicitor at CMS Cameron McKenna before joining Semple Fraser LLP as an Associate. In 2009, they became an Employment Solicitor at AEGON and later worked at AEGON Scottish Equitable in the same role. In 2014, they transitioned to Aegon UK as a Legal Manager, specializing in Employment and Commercial matters. In 2016, they became the Head of Reward and Employee Relations at Aegon UK, a role they continued until 2023. From 2019 to 2023, they also held the position of Head of Reward, Employee Relations, and Inclusion at AEGON UK PLC. Currently, they are the Global Head of Reward & Performance at Aegon Asset Management.

Iain Barton completed their LLB (Hons) (1st Class) in Law at the University of Glasgow from 1997 to 2001. Iain then pursued further studies in Law at the Glasgow Graduate School of Law, obtaining a Dip LP in 2002. Prior to their university education, they attended Stirling High School from 1991 to 1997.
