Matthew Willer

Matthew Willer has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies. Matthew is currently serving as the Managing Director of Real Estate Private Equity at Aegon Asset Management since March 2022. Before that, they held the position of Lead Portfolio Manager of Real Estate Private Equity at Aegon Real Assets from January 2017 to April 2022.

Prior to their roles at Aegon, Matthew worked at AEGON USA Realty Advisors from February 2010 to December 2016, where they served as the Director and CFO of Private Equity. Matthew also worked as an Associate Director from January 2007 to February 2010 at the same company.

Before joining AEGON, Matthew gained valuable experience at AEGON, Life Investors Insurance Company, where they worked as an Assistant Manager from July 1999 to January 2007.

Earlier in their career, Matthew worked at Principal Financial Group as a Pension Service Associate from June 1998 to July 1999. Matthew also worked at GMAC Mortgage as an Auditor specializing in Special Servicing from March 1997 to June 1998.

Matthew Willer earned a BBA in Accounting from Iowa State University in 1996. Matthew went on to obtain an MBA in Finance from The University of Iowa Tippie College of Business.
