Steve Mickle

Steve Mickle, CAIA, serves as Managing Director and Head of US Insurance at Aegon Asset Management since July 2021. Previously, Steve held the position of Principal at The Blackstone Group, focusing on private credit asset raising and private equity fundraising from insurance General Accounts from November 2018 to January 2021. From May 2013 to November 2018, Steve was the Director of Institutional Sales & Trading at WallachBeth Capital, where the emphasis was on bond ETF execution strategies for insurers and other institutional clients. Prior experience includes serving as Vice President of iShares Institutional Sales at BlackRock and contributing to the iShares business development team targeting US insurance companies. Early in the career, an Associate role at Merriman Capital, Inc. involved coverage of hedge funds and mutual funds for various sectors. Steve graduated with a BA in Mathematics and Spanish from Hamilton College in 2000, following education at Pace Academy.
