Rianette van der Westhuizen

Rianette van der Westhuizen has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Rianette started their career in 2003 as a Diplomat & Policy Officer at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where they handled various responsibilities such as speechwriting, advising the Minister, and working on policy issues related to the European Constitution. After leaving the ministry in 2008, they held roles at several media organizations. Rianette worked as a Managing and Political Editor at Tuvalu Media in 2009, followed by a position as a Managing Editor and Political Editor at van den Brink BV from 2010 to 2012. From 2010 to 2013, they served as the Managing Editor at PowNed. In 2013, they transitioned to the insurance industry and joined Aegon Life as the spokesperson and Head of Public Affairs and Public Relations. Currently, they hold the position of Director of Brand & Communications at Aegon Life.

Rianette van der Westhuizen's education history includes completing the Rijkstraineeprogramma at Leiden University. Additionally, they participated in the International Visitors Leadership Program, organized by the US State Department.
