Matt Lawler has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Matt started their career in 2004 at Warner Bros. International Television Distribution, where they worked as a Senior Rights and Clearances Researcher and later as a Marketing Administrator. In 2008, they joined MyCypher.com as a Marketing Strategist, where they played a key role in promoting their VoIP-based social media platform. Matt then moved on to Warner Bros. Television, where they worked as an Analyst and Manager, focusing on communications operations and audience development. In 2012, Lawler joined Initiative as a Director of Social Strategy, before transitioning to Amusement Park as a Director of Integrated Communications in 2015. In 2016, they joined Canvas Worldwide as a Group Director and Vice President of Social, where they led a team responsible for agency success on social platforms and managed accounts for Hyundai, Kia, and Genesis. Lawler's most recent position was at AEG, where they held the roles of Director of Digital Media and Senior Director of Digital Media within Global Partnerships.
Matt Lawler received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy, Political Science, and Economics from the University of Pennsylvania. Matt attended the university from 1999 to 2003. Later, they pursued a Master's degree in Business Administration with a focus on Marketing and Social Entrepreneurship at the USC Marshall School of Business. Matt attended USC from 2007 to 2009.
