Daniel Merlin de Andrade has over 12 years of work experience in the automotive industry. Daniel started their career in 2009 as a CAD Designer (Consultant) at Volvo Group. In 2010, they moved to Renault as a Feasibility CAD Designer and Concepteur architecture et montage. In 2011, they joined Ford Motor Company as a D&R Engineer and CAD Designer. In 2015, they worked at Ferrari as an Aerodynamics CAD Engineer and at ADESS AG as a Motorsport Design Engineer for BMW and Mercedes AMG. In 2017, they were a Senior Composite Design Engineer at Scuderia Toro Rosso F1 Team. In 2018, they completed an MBA in International Management at CBS Cologne Business School. In 2019, they were a Senior Design Engineer - Contractor at Koenigsegg Automotive AB. In 2020, they were a Senior Engineer Structures & Composites at Lotus Tech Innovation Centre GmbH. Currently, they are the Head of Structural Engineering at AELER Technologies SA.
Daniel Merlin de Andrade obtained a Bachelor of Technology (BTech) in Mechanical Engineering/Mechanical Technology/Technician from the Federal University of Technology - Parana between 2006 and 2012. Daniel then obtained a Technician in Automotive Engineering Technology/Technician from SENAI between 2004 and 2005. In 2015, they obtained a Certificate CATIA V5 Part Design Specialist from Dassault Systèmes. Lastly, they obtained a Master of Business Administration - MBA in International Management from CBS International Business School between 2018 and 2019.
