Mo Jalali

Mo Jalali, PhD, is a Principal Data Scientist and ML Engineer currently at the Australian Energy Market Operator. With over a decade of experience, Mo has a robust background in machine learning, AI, and software engineering, having contributed significantly to projects at EnergyAustralia that involved real-time ML software models, customer value management, and churn prediction. Mo completed a PhD in Computer Science with a focus on machine learning and AI at Deakin University, where they also held a postdoctoral fellowship, advancing multimodal model design in computer vision. Throughout their career, Mo has demonstrated expertise in optimizing algorithms and implementing MLOps frameworks to enhance performance and scalability.
