Alan Long is an experienced professional in airport operations and ground handling, currently serving as the Head of Network Airport Operations at Aer Lingus since March 2008. Long has held progressively responsible roles, including Manager for Dublin, Shannon, and Cork Airports, and previously held positions as the Director of Ground Operations for ExpressJet Europe and Senior Manager for ExpressJet US from April 2004 to January 2008. Long contributed to the establishment of Jetmagic as the Head of Ground Operations and has a history of leadership at Servisair, where various management roles were undertaken from 1994 to 2003. Long began the aviation career at Ryanair from 1991 to 1994 in ground handling. Long earned a Master’s degree in Air Transport Management from Cranfield University between 2004 and 2006.
