Paul Watkins is a seasoned aviation professional with extensive experience in safety, security, and compliance management. Currently serving as the Safety, Security and Compliance Manager at Aer Lingus since May 2021, Paul holds multiple roles including Nominated Person for Safety, Compliance Monitoring Manager, and Cyber Security Responsible Manager. Previous leadership positions include Director of Safety and Security at Flybe and Head of Compliance, Safety & Training at Dublin Aerospace. With a background as Head of Maintenance Quality, Safety & Training at Thomas Cook Airlines and extensive technical instruction experience, Paul boasts a comprehensive skill set in aviation safety and regulatory compliance. Paul’s career began with 23 years of service in the Royal Air Force as an Avionics Engineer and Manager. Paul holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering from the University of Wolverhampton.
