Erik Bartsch

Erik Bartsch is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in the energy sector. Currently serving as President and Chief Executive Officer at Aera Energy LLC since July 2020, Erik previously held key leadership roles at Shell, including Vice President Safety and Environment for Integrated Gas & New Energies and Exploration Manager for the Gulf of Mexico from February 2015 to July 2020. Erik's career at Shell began in June 2002, where various positions included Business Transformation Manager for Shales and General Manager Mid Continent. Prior to Shell, Erik was a Geologist at Marathon Oil Company from September 1999 to June 2002, focusing on the Gulf of Mexico deepwater projects. Erik holds a Master of Science in Structural Geology from the University of Colorado Boulder and a Bachelor of Science in Geology from UC Santa Barbara.
