Derek Desmond

Derek Desmond is an experienced professional in the aerial cinematography and helicopter operations industry. Currently serving as the Aerial Unit Manager at Aerial Camera Systems (ACS) since September 2022, Derek plays a crucial role in a company recognized as a leader in specialist camera supply. Prior to ACS, Derek held the position of NP Ground Operations Manager at Sloane Helicopters and Operations Manager at Helicopter Film Services Ltd, contributing to notable advancements in aerial filming services. Additional experience includes business development roles at The Charter Company and Oryx Jet, as well as operational management at Excel Helicopter Charter Ltd and Cabair International (UK) Ltd. Derek holds a BMus (hons) degree from the London College of Music.
