Ian Groom is an experienced Vision & Lighting Director currently working at ITN since July 2015, overseeing vision control and robotic camera operations for various projects, including Ultimatte 11 for virtual set keying. Groom has held roles at IMG Media as a Vision and Lighting Technical Operator for the Premier League Channel and has extensive freelance experience as a Broadcast Engineer. With a career spanning from 1999 to the present, Ian has worked as a Vision Engineer for major projects such as SKY Sports HD and has been involved in Olympic broadcasting with OBS Madrid. Ian's educational background includes an ONC & HNC in Electronic Engineering from Farnborough College of Technology.
