Subu Balakrishnan

Subu Balakrishnan is an experienced technology professional with a strong background in software engineering and engineering management. Currently serving as VP Engineering and Head of Aeris Data Office at Aeris Communications since February 2012, Subu has architected and delivered open source, micro-service based SaaS IoT solutions across multiple clouds, leveraging modern Big Data technologies and Kubernetes to manage high-volume IoT solutions and analytics. Prior to this role, Subu was a Senior Software Manager at Openwave, where responsibilities included the development of mediation solutions and mobile analytics. Additionally, Subu has held various roles at KLA Tencor Corp, progressing from Software Engineer to Software Development Manager, and earlier experience includes working with HCL Hewlett Packard. Subu holds a Cloudera Certified Hadoop Professional certification and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Pondicherry University.
