Shardendu Singh has a diverse work experience starting from 2008. Shardendu worked as a Post Doctoral Fellow at the University of Missouri from September 2008 to June 2011. Later, from July 2011 to June 2014, they served as a Research Associate at the University of Maryland. From July 2011 to November 2018, they worked as a Visiting Scientist at USDA-ARS in the Adaptive Cropping Systems Laboratory. Shardendu then joined the University of Maryland and USDA-ARS as a Research Assistant Scientist from June 2014 to November 2017. In 2017, Shardendu Singh joined the University of Washington as a Research Scientist, where they worked until November 2018. Since November 2018, they have been associated with AeroFarms, initially as a Sr. Lead Scientist, Strategic Partnership, and currently serving as the Principal Scientist.
Shardendu Singh completed a Master of Science degree in Plant Physiology at Banaras Hindu University from 2002 to 2004. Following that, from 2004 to 2008, they earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Agronomy and Crop Science from Mississippi State University.
