Thomas Francois has a diverse work experience in various industries. Thomas worked at Aerospacelab as the Head of Avionics, leading a team in the field of electrical and electronics. Prior to that, they worked as an Aerospace Engineer at the same company.

In 2010, they became an Entrepreneur and Web Developer for AlternaWeb and ScoutOnWeb, where they launched a service that allows associations and non-profit organizations to create and manage their own websites easily.

Thomas Francois completed their Bachelor of Engineering in Electromechanical Engineering from Université catholique de Louvain in the years 2006 to 2009. Thomas then pursued a Master in Electro-mechanical Engineering with a specialization in Energy and electronics from the same university from 2009 to 2011. In 2010, they participated in an exchange program (Erasmus) in Electrical Engineering at The Faculty of Engineering at Lund University. Later, from 2014 to 2016, Thomas earned a Master in Management degree from Louvain School of Management. In addition to their formal education, they obtained a certification in Practical Project Management from Prosource NV in March 2013.
